- Kyle Beard returned to FK Rod Ends Arizona Speedway (Queen Creek, Arizona) on Wednesday night competing in two divisions again for the second round of the Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout. After coming one spot shy of a transfer spot in his heat with a 5th place finish, Beard scored a runner-up finish in his B-Main behind Terry Phillips positioning him 20th on the starting grid for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Passing three cars in the 30-lap affair, Kyle Beard reeled in a 17th place outing.

During the same night, Kyle logged a 9th place finish in his heat giving him one last chance at the feature with a B-Main appearance. Needing to place in the Top 8, Beard fell short with a 22nd place finish.

After a scheduled off-day on Thursday, Beard followed up the fastest time overall in a field of 46 cars with a 10-lap heat race victory. Earning the 2nd-starting position for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Kyle jumped out to an early lead and looked to have the top spot locked up until lap-traffic began to come into play. Losing the lead on lap-20 after trying to get around a slower-lap car, Beard tried to reel in the leader in the closing laps but came up short to place 2nd behind Bobby Pierce with Hudson O’Neal, Brandon Sheppard, and Jimmy Mars completing the Top-5 finishers.
