Beard visits Magnolia for Clash at the Mag weekend

On Thursday afternoon Kyle Beard traveled to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) to kick off the three-day General Tire Clash at the Mag. Drawing 55 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries for the event co-sanctioned with the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS), Beard time in eighth fastest in his group before falling back to an eighth place outing in his heat. Sending the Top 2 from the B-Main into the opening night feature, Kyle logged an eighth place finish.

The following night for another $5,000-to-win preliminary feature, Kyle followed up the fifth fastest time in his qualifying group with the third and final transfer spot in his heat. With preliminary results on Thursday and Friday night setting the grid for the $15,000-to-win Clash at the Mag on Saturday evening, Beard rolled off fifth in his B-Main for one last shot at the finale. Needing a second place finish or better, Kyle fell short with a sixth place outing.

Kyle is currently eighth in the latest CCSDS point standings.
