Beard competes with Summer Nationals at Farmer City

Making his debut with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals, Kyle Beard trekked to Farmer City Raceway Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) on Friday afternoon for the 16th round of the Hell Tour. In a stout field of 41 Late Models, Beard clocked in fourth fastest in his group before placing third in his heat. The following night at Thunderhill Raceway Park (Summertown, Tenn.) for the Southern All Star Series sanctioned contest, Kyle recorded the fifth fastest time in his group, which positioned him 10th on the starting grid for the feature. With $4,000 on the line, Beard passed six cars in the 40-lap affair to place fourth. He followed Dane Dacus, Jamie Elam, and Matt Cooper across the line with Kenny Collins coming in fifth.
