“We’ve had a good car to start the year, and we finally got the first win on Friday night at Ark-La-Tex (Speedway),” Beard said. “We had a good starting spot for Saturday night at I-30 (Speedway), but just couldn’t capitalize on it.
“As always I want to thank my team and my sponsors for all they do to keep me racing each week.”
Kyle Beard followed the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) to Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, La.) on Friday night to pilot the Mann Motorsports No. 86 Super Late Model. After recording the second-fastest lap in his time trial group, Beard topped B.J. Robinson in his heat race to pick up the win.
Fending off a charging Garrett Alberson in the feature, Kyle scored a flag-to-flag victory in the 30-lapper, which came ahead of Alberson, Cade Dillard, Logan Martin, and B.J. Robinson. His 21st-career CCSDS triumph was worth $3,000.
For the Will McGary Memorial on Saturday at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Ark.), Kyle secured his spot into the $3,000-to-win A-Main with a heat race victory. Fading outside the Top-10 in the 40-lap affair, Beard recorded a 13th-place outing.
Kyle is currently eighth in the latest CCSDS standings.
