Fourth-place finish with Comp Cams at Batesville

With 31 Late Models on hand, Beard stopped the clock fourth-fastest in his group before placing second in his heat. Improving four spots in the 35-lap feature, Kyle raced to a third-place finish, which came behind Brian Rickman and Tyler Stevens.

For the $5,000-to-win Rockabilly 45 on Saturday at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Ark.), Beard followed up the second-fastest lap in his group with a heat race win. After setting a commanding pace early, Kyle was collected in a tangle with a lapped car on lap 40 that relegated him back to a 16th-place finish.

Kyle is currently seventh in the latest CCSDS point standings.
