Beard lands on DIRTcar Summer Nationals podium at Paducah
Returning from a trip to Mississippi, Kyle Beard and his Mann Motorsports No. 86 team stopped in at Springfield Raceway (Springfield, Mo.) to compete with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour.
With 27 Late Models in the pit area, Beard finished seventh in his heat race but made a sixth-to-first charge in his B-Main to transfer to the $5,000-to-win feature. In the 40-lap main event, Beard made up two positions to finish 14th.
After a couple days off, Kyle returned to racing at Paducah International Raceway (Paducah, Ky.) on Friday afternoon. Following the third-quickest lap in qualifying, Beard earned a feature position with a third-place run in his heat. For the $10,000-to-win main event, Beard kept his nose clean in the attrition-filled race to finish on the podium in third. He trailed Jason Feger and Ashton Winger while Bob Gardner and Billy Moyer Jr. completed the Top-5.
