Beard races into Lucas Oil Topless 100 at Batesville Motor Speedway
Returning to Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Ark.) for the rescheduled Comp Cams Super Dirt Series event on Thursday, Kyle Beard unloaded his Mann Motorsports No. 86 machine for the make-up event as well as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned Topless 100.
Already locked into the main event with his heat race result from July 29th, Beard charged forward in the 40-lap feature before getting caught up in a accident with just four laps to go. He was scored 17th.
With 64 cars entered into the Topless 100 on Friday afternoon, Kyle was unable to race his way into the $5,000-to-win preliminary feature after a seventh-place run in his B-Main.
Narrowly missing an A-Main transfer spot in the second B-Main, Beard received a Comp Cams provisional to start Saturday's $50,000-to-win finale. Completing all 100-laps in the main event, Kyle moved up to record a 15th-place finish.
