Kyle Beard pockets $5,001 in Heavy Duty 35 at Old No. 1 Speedway

TRUMANN, Ark. (09/10/24) – Kyle Beard made a surprise start in the Modified ranks over the weekend at Old No. 1 Speedway and it paid off with a $5,001 victory aboard his Gary Beard Trucking / Mann Motorsports No. 86 ROCKHARD Powder Coating Modified.

Beard overtook early pacesetter Terry Phillips on lap 22 and led the final 14 circuits to claim his first win of the 2024 campaign.

“It feels good to get a win,” Beard said. “I haven’t ran the Modified at all this year so it’s nice to see we still got it. Big thanks to the Tribble Family for putting this race on and shout-out to all my sponsors that help me out. I couldn’t do it without all of their help throughout the years.”

With his Super Late Model sitting idle over the weekend, Kyle Beard broke out his Modified on Saturday night and headed to Old No. 1 Speedway (Harrisburg, Ark.) for the $5,001-to-win Heavy Duty 35 – Brandon Mitchell Memorial Race.

With 47 entries on the grounds, Beard qualified fourth-quickest in his group before taking the checkered flag in his heat race. In the 35-lap feature, Kyle slid by race-leader Terry Phillips on lap 22 and led the remaining 14 circuits to score the victory.

The $5,001 triumph marked Beard’s first win of the 2024 season.

Beard’s pursuit for this third COMP Cams Super Dirt Series title resumes this weekend with a pair of events in Arkansas and Oklahoma. Friday’s opener at Two Dollar Pistol Motor Speedway is followed by the $5,000-to-win Green Country Clash at Arrowhead Speedway.
